Broomsedge is 45 miles east of Columbia off I-20, off Exit 108 to the south.

The layout is on a rolling 160-acre tract that was a former pine forest, now mostly devoid of trees. It's a large layout with broad fairways leading to massive, undulating, and sloping green complexes with 150+ sand bunkers and only two water features. The greens and surrounds are filled with false fronts, collection areas, and humps and hollows. It plays to a par of 70 with tees from 4,786 to 6,426 yards off the tips. It's a private club that allows several public tee times on certain days of the week and was designed by Kyle Franz and Mike Koprowski.
