Blacklake is located between Santa Maria and Pismo Beach inland a few miles partially bordering a residential community with 27 holes, the Lakes, Canyon, and Oaks.

The layouts are parkland style along tree lined fairways providing an interesting and varied design over hilly terrain. There's numerous water hazards in play along with a generous amount of sand bunkers guarding the landing zones off the tee and the greens. The Oaks is the shortest at 2,909 yards from the tips, Canyon is 3,125 yards, and Lakes is 3,276 yards.
