Black Desert is on the north side of St. George just north of Estrada on Snow Canyon Parkway in Greater Zion.

The golf course is carved through lava fields along broad, undulating fairways with a generous amount oof conventional and waste area sand bunkers throughout. It's a most scenic setting with Snow Canyon State Park in the background and an horizon punctuated by the distinctive red rocks native to the area. It's 7,200 yards from the tips for 19 holes, designed by Tom Weiskoph.
