Black Bear Golf Course is off Interstate 20 between Monroe and Vicksburg and is part of Louisiana’s Audubon Golf Trail.

The course is over Macon Ridge and down through wooded creek bottoms on the north side of Poverty Point Reservoir in a totally natural environment with each hole isolated and unique. The layout is parkland style with tree lined fairways over land with some change in elevation where course management is useful as the narrow fairways and approaches are bordered by sand traps and water hazards. There's six sets of tees with the white tees playing to 6,318 yards, 70.7/130, course/slope ratings, designed by Bechtol-Russell.
