The Big Sky Golf Course is on the east side of the ski slopes winding through a resort/residential community.

The golf course is situated at an altitude of 6,500 feet along the West Fork of the Gallatin River. The layout is wide open with scattered trees along the mounded and contoured, fairways bordered by natural areas and tall prairie grasses with sand bunkers primarily greenside. It's a scenic setting routed along the flat River bottom land surrounded by mountains with Lone Peak looming overhead. The course is 6,800 yards from the back tees, 71.4/125, course/slope ratings with three shorter tees, designed by Arnold Palmer.
