The Big River Golf Course is on the east side of Umatilla, on flat river bottomland along the Columbia River.

The golf course is straightforward with unique fairways framed by trees. There are several holes with water in play, a few doglegs, and sand traps defending the ample greens, all set in a setting that provides views of the Columbia River Gorge throughout the round. It's short at 5,975 yards from the tips, 69.1/115, course/slope ratings, and one shorter tee.
