Beaver Creek is on the northwest side of Des Moines in Grimes off Rt 141 at Towner Drive.

The golf course is comprised of three nine hole, parkland layouts with water hazards in play on 16 of the 27 holes. The fairways are lined by fescue grasses and trees with sand bunkers both along the landing zones and guarding the greens. The course was designed by Jerry Reible in the early 1990s with the yardages, course/slope ratings for the various rotations from the tips with two shorter tee boxes: West-3,307 yards; East-3,472 yards; South-3,254 yards.
