Bear Trace is a State of Tennessee "Nicklaus Trail" course located about 20 minutes north of Chattanooga in Harrison Bay State Park on Chickamauga Lake.

The golf course is literally carved through the deep woods with numerous holes bordering the Lake. It's a generally playable parkland layout with broad, heavily wooded fairway corridors over slightly rolling terrain with water hazards potentially in play on 12 holes and 50+ sand traps. The length is 7,111 yards from the tips, the blue tees play to 6,545 yards, 71.6/128, course/slope ratings.
