Apple Greens is just off the NY Thruway at exit 18 near Poughkeepsie, about 1 1/2 hours from the city, and is surrounded by forests and wetlands.

There are twenty-seven holes meandering through an apple orchard along rolling, tree-lined fairways with views of the Catskill and Shawangunk Mountains and the Mohonk Tower in the Hudson Valley. There's water in play on 15 holes, OB on six holes, and a modest amount of sand in play along the fairways and guarding the greens. There are four sets of tees, from the tips #1&2 play to 6,679 yards, 72.1/113, course/slope ratings; #2&3-6,345 yards, 71.8/130; #1&3-6,587 yards, 72.9/131, with three shorter tees, designed by John Magaletta.
