The Allentown Municipal Golf Course is located just east of the intersection of the Turnpike, US 309, I-476, and US 22 on the west side of town.

The golf course is a straightforward and playable, parkland layout along broad fairways lined by old growth hardwood trees at the borders. There's slight doglegs, Little Cedar Creek and several ponds, and sand bunkers both in the landing zones and defending the contoured greens of varying shapes and sizes. It plays to 6,845 yards from the tips 72.4/132, course/slope ratings with four shorter tees, originally designed by Paul Weiss in 1952 with redesign work by Dan Schlegel of Ault Clark.
