Quail Valley is northwest of Portland off the Sunset Highway at Wilson River Highway to the west bordered by farmland.

The layout is wide open off the tee with scattered, small trees at the borders as it moves over undulating, prairie grass lined fairways. It features as hazards a generous amount of sand traps in addition to four ponds and numerous wetlands in play. There's four sets of tees from 5,416 yards to 6,561 yards, 71.8/126, course/slope ratings at the tips, designed by John Zoller.
