Pecan Lakes is 1 1/2 hours northwest of Houston and 30 minutes south of College Station.

"Lakes" is the dominant theme term here as there's 17 holes with water in play and is almost impossible to avoid. Pecan is also a relevant as the front side meanders through groves of pecan trees while the back side tends to be more of an open, links-style layout wide open to the elements. It was designed by Jay Riviere and from the White tees is 6,354 yards, 69.1/116, course/slope ratings with one longer and two shorter tees.
