Pagosa Springs is within a residential development located 1 1/2 hours east of Durango in Pagosa Springs in the middle of the San Juan Mountains.

The course has three nine hole layouts, the Ponderosa, Piñon, and Meadows journeying through Ponderosa Pine tree lined fairways along ponds and streams. The Piñon/Ponderosa is the combination with the best elevation change, and plays to 6,677 yards, 69.5/115, course/slope ratings. Piñon/Meadows is 7,228 yards, 72.6/123, course/slope, and the longer and the most challenging of all the combinations with all of the water hazards. Meadows/Ponderosa plays to 70.1/120, course/slope at 6,913 yards from the tips, all with three shorter tees, designed by Johnny Bulla, a touring pro from the 1940s.
