Long Bay, known as Jack's sandbox, is located 30 minutes north of Myrtle Beach on the north side of Longs bordering a residential development.

The golf course is a target style, parkland layout along undulating fairways bordered by numerous water hazards and surrounded by both waste area and large conventional sand bunkers leading to sloped, contoured and undulating greens. The layout is impossibly difficult for the high handicapper and plays to 7,025 yards, 74.2/137, course/slope ratings from the tips with five shorter sets of tees, designed by Jack Nicklaus.
