Heritage Plantation is on Pawleys Island within a residential development on the east side of the Waccamaw River.

The course journeys over the former True Blue and Midway Plantations along stands of giant magnolias and oaks as well as numerous lakes and marshland. The course has open and rolling fairways leading to large, undulating greens surrounded by crepe myrtle, camellias, azaleas, and wildflowers. After the round spend a requisite lunch at the Southern Colonial clubhouse overlooking the Waccamaw River, a great setting and first class experience. The golf course was designed by Dan Maples and plays to 7,004 yards, 74.9/138, course/slope ratings from the tips with four shorter tees.
