Copper Creek is just off I-70 at the Copper Mountain Resort at the base of the ski slopes and supposedly the highest championship golf course in the US at a top elevation of 9,863 feet.

The layout is a mix of links and mountain style holes with views of the 10 Mile Range throughout the round. The front nine is a bit target golf with tight driving lanes and approach shots along ponds and streams while the back nine is more traditional providing views of the surrounding mountains and double diamond ski slopes of Copper Mountain. The golf course was designed by Pete and Perry Dye and from the tips is short considering the altitude here at 6,094 yards, 68.2/115, course/slope ratings with three shorter tees.
