Captains Cove is a golf course, yacht club, and residential development just south of the Maryland line on the north side of Chincoteague west of the Bay.

The golf course is a 9 hole, parkland layout sauntering over flat land along mounded and heavily bunkered fairways and greens with water in play on most of the holes. It designed by Lester George in 2006 with four sets of tees from 2,506 to 3,485 yards, 37.7/130, course/slope ratings off the tips.
