Buenaventura is a standard in Ventura County located off the 101 at Victoria to the south on a relatively compact tract of land.

The golf course is on the north side of the Santa Clara River and is a short, parkland layout winding along tree lined fairways with numerous water hazards and sand bunkers along the fairways and defending the greens. It can play to 5,826 yards from the back tees, 68.3/117, course/slope ratings with four shorter tees, a Billy Bell design.
