Ash Brook is on Rairtan Road in Scotch Plains off the Garden State at Central.

The course seemingly is out in the country with nothing but natural corridors bordering the holes but in reality is in the midst of North Jersey. All the holes are bordered by mature hardwood trees yet mostly forgiving off the tee with broad landing zones. The layout provides for slight doglegs along slightly rolling fairways with water in play on five holes and sand traps positioned primarily at the side of the generous greens. The course was designed by Alfred Tull in the mid-1950s and from the tips plays to 7,040 yards, 73.9/130, course/slope ratings with three shorter tee boxes.
