The Preserve is in a residential community south of Chapel Hill on Lake Jordan.

The golf course moves through the trees over hilly topography with sand traps at the landing zones and guarding the greens and water features in play on six holes. There five sets of tees from 5,361 yards to 7,017 yards at the tips, 74.7/144, course/slope ratings, designed by Davis Love III.
