Skungamaug is 30 minutes east of Hartford off I-84 at exit 68 to the south in Coventry on the east side of the Skungamaug River.

The course was carved through the Coventry woods on a large tract of woodlands along chutes through the deep forest over varying degrees of elevation change. It's mostly straightforward save for a few, less than intuitive holes with multiple ponds and the River in play but less than 20 sand bunkers overall. It's a short par 70 at 5,785 yards, 69.4/120, course/slope ratings off the blue tees with three shorter tees, designed by Joseph Motycka.
